We are delighted to share that Calestous Juma Science Leadership Fellow Dr. Yaw Bediako has been appointed Dean of Research and Innovation at Ashesi University, Ghana. This new role positions him at the forefront of nurturing research excellence, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and strengthening pathways for impact-driven scientific inquiry across the continent. Through his work as CEO of Yemaachi Biotech, a position he will continue to hold, Dr. Bediako continues to demonstrate how African-led science can drive transformative change, from advancing biomedical research to shaping the future of biotechnology on the continent.
