Partnerships

Grand Challenges supports a global community of problem solvers who work together to deliver breakthrough innovation in health and development.

A Global Network of Initiatives

Grand Challenges brings together innovation initiatives on four continents that work independently to achieve individual objectives and come together to pursue collective goals.

Most Grand Challenges initiatives are funded by national governments; some are funded by foundations and non-profits. There are currently Grand Challenges partners operating in Brazil, Canada, Ethiopia, India, Nigeria, Pakistan, pan-Africa, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, and the United States.

Transformational, Not Transactional

For more than 20 years, the Grand Challenges network has engaged advocates, funders, policymakers, scientists, and science institutions from around the world to foster health and development R&D.

By nurturing long-term relationships instead of brokering short-term interactions, we aim to build the trust that underlies sustainable innovation, with a diverse range of partners contributing their unique perspectives and skills to a shared endeavor.
